About this time last year, someone from TEDx (the local version of the TED talks) wrote and asked me if I would be willing to talk to a secular audience about what underlies the work I do.
This was a bit challenging to me – when your religion says that what it wants from you is to feed the hungry and clothe the naked, it is somewhat easy to tell folk that is what they should do. But how can I demonstrate that without telling you God wants you to do it?
Here is my first attempt. Since the spring, I have given versions of this talk about six or seven times – it is smoother now, and now I demand a place to put my notes, but I still move around a lot and wave my arms…
Enjoy!

Hey don’t apologize for your speaking skills, you did a great job! One of my biggest fears, actually. Great stuff!
Really liked the talk Hugh.
