Maybe it's Not About Marriage After All

If the whole battle by my more conservative brothers and sisters isn’t against gays, per se, but is really all about the protection of marriage, I have no idea why they are not hopping on the movement under way in California to ban divorce. After all, while the Bible never says that God hates gays (sorry, Fred Phelps), it quite clearly states where the Almighty stands on divorce.

I’ve always said that if people really want to defend marriage, they ought to practice it. Ie, get married rather than cohabitate, stay married instead of divorcing, etc. (not that I’m in favor of crimilizing divorce).
