When you feel dumped on, remember this

Once there was a little bird, high up a tree in his nest. It was very cold outside, so the little bird was flapping his wings to stay warm. The bird lost his balance and fell out of the nest, all the way to the ground, where he lay there, stunned from the fall and the cold. All seemed lost, the little bird was fading fast as the cold sucked the strength from his body.

Serendipitously, along came a cow, who inadvertently crapped on the bird. However, the crap was warm and revived the bird. As the strength returned, he began to sing, filling the air with his song.

Unfortunately, along came a tomcat who heard the little birds song and ate him.

I take three life lessons away from this sad tale:

  1. Everyone who craps on you is not necessarily your enemy
  2. Everyone who gets you out of crap is not necessarily your friend.
  3. If you are warm and happy in a pile of crap, keep your mouth shut.

Could not resist, sorry. ;-)
