A Politically Incorrect Entrepreneur 3.0
Back in early February of this year (2007), I decided to branch out from what was then my main blog and tackle a blog targeted to the small business market. It was a wonderful idea, but I was not really ready. In typical ready-fire-aim fashion, I jumped the gun and got some great early links, but I just had too many things going on, my concept was ill formed, and about that time I lost a key employee in one of my businesses. I let the thing drop.
Fast forward to April 27th of this year. I had a better idea of what I wanted to do, I had a new focus on where I wanted to go, and I plunged back in. This was my first post, addressing the 6 people who were still subscribed to my Feedburner RSS feed. (Yes, there are posts before that, but they were the ones I cut and pasted from the old blog and modified the time stamp.)
Well, here we are, almost 1 month later. I am close to 40 RSS subscribers, have about 50 backlinks and over 100 visitors a day. I am within a hair of breaking the Technoratti 100,000 mark. For less than 1 month in, I am very pleased. Over time, I hope to build a community for the small business owner and for those want to be, a safe haven where we can swap ideas and grow together.
As I am growing, things are changing fast, so I wanted to introduce you to some changes I have made and how they affect you. After all, you are why I am here.
Recent changes include:
- A most awesome theme. This one is a light mod of one called Modernpaper, created by the folks over at Performancing.
- All new About and Contact pages
- A Resource page (still under construction), where I can link to sources I trust and use.
- Top commentators are now recognized in the sidebar to the right. Please note the hyperlinks are live, so when someone clicks on your name, they go to your website.
- Also in the sidebar is a section called Chatter, where the latest comments and trackbacks are shown, along with a live link back to your site. This means that until someone else comments, you have a live, no-follow link on my homepage. Also note this means that if you link to an article I have written, it counts as a live, no-follow link as well.
- We have the MyBlogLog widget in place, so I can see who is reading this thing. I encourage you to join my MyBlogLog Community so you can get in on the act.
- A big huge honking button so you can subscibe to my RSS Feed (Do it now, while it is still on your mind).
- A way for you to mark my blog as one of your favorites on Technoratti.
- A top secret tab up at the top marked Audio, where starting Friday we will have PodCasts available for download.
Thank you very much for your readership, and I look forward to us all growing together.

Great job. I wish I could get that many page views a day, in that short of a time. I have been working on my site, for about a month also and only get about 10 page views a day.
Good job, and keep up the good work,
Kyle
